Got this bad girl in the mail today
Kind of silly how the game went from T, to M, then back to T

Re: What did you just buy?
I wonder why the PS3 is the only system that gets games with cute anime girls.
Re: What did you just buy?
360 gets anime shmups, for no good reason. Now like they ever sell well on that system

Re: What did you just buy?
Got them a week ago, but hardly used them since I was away over the weekend.
A pair of Dynaudio BM5a MKII. They sound awesome. Money well spent.
From what I could listen to at the shop... If I had unlimited money I would've gotten a pair of Event Opal instead. These are just gdlk, but huge and so damn expensive.

Re: What did you just buy?
Two Vanguard comic style booster packs.
Comic style is basically cards made with pictures from the Manga.

Re: What did you just buy?
I just bought some manga. But shit. The store is relocating. For the rest of the month, half the store is 60 percent off and this includes stuff that was already on discount. On top of that, pretty much all the manga is slashed in price by at least 50 percent. Meaning virtually no single manga will cost more than $2.50 after tax.
// This is gonna hurt my wallet. //
Also they had the Osamu Tezuka manga about Hitler, 3 books in fact, all hardcover (MSRP 22 dollars each) but they had them for 5 dollars each. Assuming they're 60 percent off, I can get all 3, a 50-70 dollar value, for about $7.50 after tax.
But I might not do this because I'm such a cheapass and would rather prefer fanservicey stuff. I don't deserve to live!!
edit:
Went again, bought 91 dollars worth of books (but more than 130 if I go by MSRP) and it cost me less than 20.
I think I sufficiently took advantage of this once in a lifetime sale. But I will go there at least one more time just in case.

Re: What did you just buy?
Been working on building my physical collection of music. Up until very recently I've only gotten music digitally (with very few exceptions) but I just love the feel of CDs. Most of what I've gotten I've picked up on sale at the fye. Here it is so far (including my thoughts on each project/purchase):
Aesop Rock - Skelethon
Love this album, although it took me a few listens to really get into it. Aesop Rock's production is amazing, and though I love Blockhead, and I'm glad Aesop Rock decided to take the production into his own hands on this one. Great album.
A$AP Rocky - Long.Live.A$AP
Really not a big A$AP Rocky fan. His lyrics are really meh, but production-wise, this album is great. There were definitely a few tracks on here that I can really fuck with.
Illogic and Blockhead - Preparing for Capture
My first Illogic project. Lyrically, this dude is a goddamn poet, and on top of Blockhead production? It's a recipe for greatness. Amazing, vivid lyrics from Illogic plus non-typical rap production made me fall in love with this. Great fucking album. (Which reminds me, Capture the Sun dropped recently, I'mma need to pick that one up too!)
Inspectah Deck - Uncontrolled Substance
INS is not my favorite Wu-Tang rapper, but he's still a damn good one. I picked this up actually a while back, trying to expand my collection of Wu-Tang albums. It's a good project but nowhere near one of my favorites from the Wu-Tang.
K.Dot - good kid, m.a.a.d. city
Critically acclaimed and all that, and it made a fuckton of year-end lists last year. While I think it was a good fucking album, I don't think it's that goddamn mind-blowing - although I do still see the genius of making a concept album so deep over really mainstream production. Make the music accessible and people will listen, even if they completely miss the real, dark meaning behind "Swimming Pools".
Killer Mike - PL3DGE
I picked this one up straight up off the strength of R.A.P. Music, and boy I was not disappointed in the least. Amazing, hard-hitting rhymes, great flows and energy. I didn't like the production near as much as the production on R.A.P. Music, it's still a great project.
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis - The Heist
I absolutely do NOT like Ryan Lewis's production. It was WAAAAY too poppy and it reminds me of how terrible radio rap is. HOWEVER, I do like Macklemore. He's a great lyricist, and I get a good variety on this album, from disses about people buying plain white tees for $50 (fuck yo Gucci shit), to shit about how terribly prevalent homophobic language is in hip hop. I bought it because I wanted to support Macklemore. I just hope he chooses another producer for his next project.
Murs - Love and Rockets Vol 1. The Transformation
Although it wasn't my #1 from 2011 when I first made my year-end list, looking back, it really should have been. There was absolutely not a single skippable track, and you got so much variety on this album. From personal shit about wanting to forget a terrible relationship (I been there, Murs!), to west coast love, to amazing stories that really put you in the story ("Animal Style" still puts a tear in my eye), this album is just so great. "Eazy-E" is easily one of the best west coast rap celebration tracks I've heard in the past few years. Also, shout-outs to Ski Beatz for making some great fucking beats on this project.
I'm only about halfway through my collection (I know, it's super small, but keep in mind I only really started working on it like a month ago) but I think I typed enough about it for now. I'll finish writing up the rest later.

Re: What did you just buy?
I may know diddly-squat about most of the albums/songs/artists, but most of those album artworks are awesome! And also great to hear what you thought of the actual music and stuff on them.

Re: What did you just buy?
Oh shit, forgot that I was gonna write up more on my CD & Vinyl collection. I added to it a bit since my last post. OH WELL TIME TO PUT IT OFF A BIT LONGER CUUUUUUZ I JUST GOT
I have heard almost universally that it's a good fighting game so I finally decided to buy it and give NetherRealm a chance (didn't like the concept of a block button on MK games). Plus it was on sale for like $20 off on Amazon, so.
