They are Real! REDUX

Modern Day. People go about their lives, working to survive in a world driven by the All-American-Dollar. Routine overshadows spontaneity and wonder.

Not so for the chosen. These individuals work and exist in the realms of both reality and fiction. They are blessed with being able to meet what would normally remain merely imagery. Many men and women study in the practice of such a thing, but not even the most brilliant can find the key to becoming a chosen. That is because Chosen aren't made...they are born.

A popular cartoon series had taken the media by storm, and shook the status quo among those that embraced it. But it's been years since the show aired...And though it may be forever be remembered by the dedicated, the rest of the world had forgotten it's existence, and cast it aside as a funny memory. The residents of this show had gained sentience and freedom in it's obscurity, when a chosen attempted to invade their universe. Instead, they all appeared in our world, appearing nearby chosen, unaware of how and why.

No one is aware this has happened, and those whom lack the blood of the chosen see these creatures as abominations, and are attempting to dispose of them as we speak. Some of them are scared and alone, some are curious and safe. Others are in terrible danger, but are bold enough to stand their ground and fight. Only the chosen can save them. The more a chosen finds, the more powerful that chosen becomes. Only with immense strength can these creatures be returned to their home.

Enter...You.

Your rest during a Saturday morning is disturbed by the sound of a cat fighting and screeching...But soon, things grow quiet. From outside your window that you left ajar, you hear something curious. Outside, you hear sobbing...human sobbing. Your curiosity bests you as you pull yourself from bed, and you look out the window. You look straight down at a bush that rests in a garden next to your house, and notice an odd creature lying on top of it. This creature does not look normal. It doesn't look like it belongs in your world, having an oddly cartoony look about it's form.

Suddenly, an instinct you never had before compels you to go outside and help this creature, despite it's oddity. Your mother gave you a call about such a thing not too long ago, telling you to rid of one if you are ever to stumble upon such a creature. The day has come that you decide whether to fulfill your mother's wishes, or defy her. You glance at your door, and then out the window one last time before you leave your room...

Make your move, Chosen.
