My Little Genchat #6: Season 4 is here

I unlocked all the characters. Mega Man is really fun though. He seems like a traditional kind of zoner who's really terrible on defense but has great ranged options. I love his uair and dair, having such long range vertical options is really neat. His dair especially seems really good for KOing anyone below you.

I got them all within the day of release. Wasn't hard at hard, except fighting them. I just did Smash battles with one stocks and damage times 2.

I'm gonna remember to do this, I played alot of the different game modes and got only two unlocks.

The Wii U version is coming on Nov 21

That's actually really soon, no wonder they kept the release date hidden so more people would buy smash 3ds thinking the wait for Wii u smash would be a while.

Edit: isn't their another certain pokemon game being released on Nov 21th?

Done with Classic mode, for now, with all the characters. I'll go back to try and beat it at intensity 9. I also learned you can't cheat your way to higher play time by leaving your character standing during an infinite match against CPUs. So going have to get that 10 hours normal.

There's Omega Red or something being released in november too. Looking forward to it.

Also, anyone know if custom moves are allowed in competitive smash 4? I really doubt it, considering Nintendo locked them behind an RNG wall, for some reason. So I'm assuming only the default moveset is legal?

Damn, I dunno who I'm gonna main actually. It's really cool that there are lots of fun characters in this game, since if one character turns out to be garbage, then I have several backups that I also like playing. At this point, I'm primarily considering Palutena, Mega Man, and Robin. Unsurprisingly they're all zoning characters, but kinda leaning toward Robin at the moment.

I like Dedede too, kind of. I think he's a good zoning/punish character, but the nerf to his grab just makes me feel like there aren't really any true grapplers in Smash bros anymore. And his grab was the main reason I liked him in Brawl.

Woo, got 4 KOs in Cruel Smash with Kirby. Took a few tries, but his down special is useful at the top middle platform

why is the final boss so hard on lvl 9

It wouldn't be smash without cheap bosses at higher difficulties?

It's like SNK-level hard :(

Played more online matches this morning before classes. I had one horrible one since it for some reason paired me with someone in goddamn Japan, and one that was almost kind of sort of playable. I lost the former (Robin vs Samus), but won the latter (Robin vs Yoshi). I don't think I'm learning anything from these matches though, all the lag makes reacting to anything but the slowest of moves impossible.
