I just saw the live stream of Nintendo's conference.
This pretty much sums up what went down in the polls.


And this is pretty much how i felt when i saw Pikmin 3.

From what we saw that game looks amazing, just one problem. Rock Pikmin? What were Nintendo smoking to come up with that idea?

And when the stream started i was thinking "There gonna show WiiFit U, i'm calling it now."
And when they showed it was like that badnik from Sonic Shorts going "I totally called that."

It was kinda disappointing, but they did show some awesome stuff (3DS games, Lego City Undercover, New Super Mario Bros U, ZombiU). It probably would have been if they changed amount they focused on the different items.

-Talk less about the Wii U hardware, just say you're here to show games and move on
-Don't give Arkham City it's own time. Despite how great a job they did implementing the Wii U controller, it's a game that's already been released. Use that time on a new game instead, like Aliens: Colonial Marines or Darksiders 2
-Don't focus so much on Wii Fit and Sing. Wrap all the games like that into one trailer/montage.
-Throw Just Dance 4 into the montage with Sing and Wii Fit. Use that time for something like Rayman Legends
-Focus less on Nintendoland. Just talk about it for two minutes and show us a trailer/montage.
-Show some more 1st party (like Platinum's Project P-100) or some new Third Party games, even if they're multiplat
-Have a big AAA reveal.

Everything else was fine. Overall I'd give them a B. Really looking forward to Lego City Undercover, ZombiU, and Pikmin 3.

I also have to wonder how much Nintendo was painted into a corner. I know they have more control over stuff like Wii Fit and Sing, but if Warner Bros. puts together a whole video for Arkham City on Wii U and wants Nintendo to show it, can Nintendo really say no? And if Ubisoft wants to have a Just Dance 4 performance, is Nintendo really going to jeopardize their relationship by denying them?

3DS Presentation was very good. Scott Moffit did a great job for his first press conference and the Non-Specific Action Figure even made an appearance! No surprises, but everything they showed was solid. Only dumb part was the Threediots video.

I'd give it a B+.

The only dissapointment i had was that the Non specific action figure didn't get hi's own game.

I'm so pre ordering Paper Mario and Luigi's Mansion when Kingdom Hearts comes out.

It's been delayed to 2013, so no. It'll likely come out at the same time it does on the other systems.

More importantly they shouldn't delay Pikmin 3. I want that as my first WiiU game.

you can read a book using the Move?
wait, what?

In real life it's just a big, children's story-sized book with a bunch of blank pages.

The Eye camera finds it and displays stuff on the pages on the TV screen, including some stuff that pops up or flies around and what not.

It's really dumb.

Trying to work this out.
I guess the app is free and you just have to buy the books.
If the books are inexpensive it could be ok.
Also depends on how much content is packed in each book/page. if they contain actual games in them, or sort of point click adventures in them, it could be ok. maybe.
If it's just an elaborate overpriced interactive screensaver, that's very bad.

I guess maybe there's a real-life blank book you buy that comes with a bunch of short stories on a disc (like how Kinect comes with Kinect Adventures) and you can buy more stories on more discs separately. Or maybe they'll have both bundles and discs sold separately for some of the books?

Anyways, the Harry Potter book they showed looked like it had quite a bit of content. So I guess you could say you would be getting you money's worth if you really were set on getting it.

I would assume that one wouldn't be delayed as It seems like a system sell for the Wii U. not to mention how polished it looked at the presentation. Unless at some point in the game they have environmental shift.

Then again we don't even know when the system launches.
